IN THE DESERT, Nevada (KNNP) – What started as an internet-famed craze has started people to actually prepare for a trip to the famous, Area 51. Area 51 was officially announced as a military installation in 2013.
Aliens, UFO, and “end of the world weapons” are myths that have been around since the 1960’s, but what actually is happening on the famed military resort?
According to numerous government sources, the installation was not officially on records until 2013, publicly. In 1974, when the US launched “Skylab”, astronauts took photos of the base without the military’s permission. Area 51 was named “Groom Lake”, and on flight documents stated that astronauts shall avoid taking photos of Groom Lake and nearby Las Vegas.
The Roswell incident occured when a reported UFO crashed in Roswell, Nevada. Reports indicated “2 little green men were badly burned”. Photographs taken of the crash site were confiscated and destroyed by “the men in black suits”.
Planes such as the SR-71 Blackbird, M-21, A-12, U2 Spy Plane, and the F-117 stealth bomber were designed at Area 51, and flown from the extra long runway.
The Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/events/448435052621047/ , is one of the largest Facebook events on-going. Over 2,000,000 people have reportedly said they are going to the event. Local establishments are holding events on the week of 9/20, which includes bands, large areas fo sleeping quarters and restrooms, in addition to souvenirs and memorabilia.
The creator, Matty Roberts, had a visit from 2 FBI agents several weeks ago. The report was nothing bad, the government was just checking to make sure Matty wasn’t receiving any threats from potential party goers. Roberts reportedly wants to turn “Storm Area 51” into a modernized Woodstock!
