This is abhorrent, abominable and I would contend, hypocritical. KDKA prides itself on being a supporter of local business. This effort of theirs says otherwise.
11 o’ clock news on the evening of Tuesday, September 3rd was a normal broadcast for KDKA-TV. Headlines, weather, sports, etc.
However, many are bound to be upset when Susan Koeppen seems to proudly remark that KDKA-TV will start listing local businesses who make any kind of positive remarks about President Donald Trump or contribute any amount over 200 dollars to the campaign.
KDKA is not alone though. WTAE is joining this gutless crusade alongside KDKA.
It does not take much thought to understand why people view this as a move with poor taste and poor intentions.
“KDKA-TV will list a group of one hundered or so local business who have made any contribution to the Trump Campaign or in other ways voiced a support for the President. You can find that list on our website at KDKA.com or on our social media pages.”Kym Gable
You would have to be absolutely evil to condone this kind of behavior from a “professional journalist organization.”
Look for a moment and realize that this is a blatant move by KDKA to destroy businesses, uproot lives and massacre livlihoods for the reason that they have a political difference. That’s inexcusable.
That is proof that there is indeed a which hunt and that KDKA just announced that they do not care what happens to the members of their community unless they happen to vote the same as they do.
Why does KDKA have any kind of stake into who runs that business? Why would they care who that business supports? That has no bearing on KDKA’s industry which is to employ technology, keep people informed on issues and out of harm’s way whenever possible.
KDKA would rather explot technology for their toxic agenda, keep people divided and throw them under the bus for having the beliefs that they don’t. That is sick morbid and it should raise alarm.
What is laughable is that KDKA believes that they are making a positive difference in the community by doing this.
How? By listing somebody’s business on the internet allowing it to be a target for vandalism? By listing owners by name allowing them to become subject to violence? By advocating boycotts, wrenching the dreams of people who thought that they had a chance in Pittsburgh?
Some of these business owners are immigrants. Is this how KDKA welcomes immigrants to Pittsburgh? They paint a target on them that says “mátame, por favor?” or “aiqtalanaa min fadlik?”
KDKA is engaging in very dangerous, very unprofessional activity. They are totally unaware of it because they harbor hate and want to funnel that hate into businesses over who they voted for.
That is not the American way, that was never the American way, but that is KDKA’s way. If anything happens because of it, I think they should be held accountable. They should be required to be personally responsible for the death and the destruction that will be a result.
If I were you, I’d boycott KDKA for being a danger to our city.
