(KNNP) – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PeTA for short wanted a message to be seen, read, discussed and thought about this weekend.
Ahead of the event, vandals employed by PeTA have damaged sidewalks with red stencil graffiti calling meat eaters “Zombies” and urging the citizens of Evans City to consider veganism.
This is not unusual for the radical group. In Louisville during their Zombie Walk this year, they did the same thing.
Sadie Buckles, a PeTA campaign manager commented that “PETA has placed ‘flesh is for zombie’ stencils on sidewalks around Evans City, to remind flesh eaters that going vegan is an absolute no brainer.”
The Living Dead Weekend is to honor the movie “Night Of the Living Dead,” which was filmed in Evans City and released in middle October 1968.
