(KNNP) – New information was recently sent to KNNP-TV about a 12-year-old teen girl that was found unconscious in South Park Township on Thursday night.
Reports state the South Park High School was having its homecoming bonfire on Thursday night when a 12-year-old girl was found at Evans Park unconscious .
Police stated the clothing the girl was wearing was “in disarray”, but the girl couldn’t talk to her parents or investigators as to what exactly happened there.
Investigators had the child taken to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh but they could not release any more information other than the child has been released from the hospital. Police and the girl’s parents are begging the public for more information. Police stated over 100 people were at the bonfire, “and that someone has to know what happened that night”.
An official press release from the school is listed below.
“The South Park School District has been notified of a police investigation following last evening’s community bonfire at Evans Park. At this time, the district is unable to release any information due to the active investigation by the South Park Township Police Department and for privacy reasons. We encourage anyone who may be able to provide officers with information to contact the South Park Township Police Department. If and when we are able to make a public comment, we will do so. Counselors are available for our students who would like to speak with them today”
