PITTSBURGH, PA. – A winter weather advisory has been issued by the U.S. National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, PA for Monday evening into Tuesday morning, which could cause schools to delay or cancel entirely.
Heavy mixed precipitation is expected to close into the region tonight, and last through Tuesday at around 11 am.
Two-inches of snow is expected to accumulate on the ground, covered by a covering of ice as thick as one-tenth an inch. This could cause major transportation issues in the early-morning hours of Tuesday.
Hazardous driving conditions could start as early as this evening for the entire Pittsburgh region.
